january flick
for my money, there are few things I enjoy more than a good monster flick! I have just scene a trailer for Cloverfield(haha, see that pun there?)which will be in theaters 1/18/08. Have a look and tell me what you think.
viral marketing at its best. Couldn't get the trailer to run correctly (I think), so if the movie is like my trailer - don't know. If it's a new version of the blair witch - I'll wait for the video. I didn't like the cinematography. Sounds interesting - throw a going away party for your best friend the night a giant monster attacks, then capture it all on your cellphone/video camera....
I think they were just comparing cinematography as Cloverfield's has that jumpy, sort of grainy look to it. Completely different setting obviously.
I personally found the BWP to be scary beyond all reason but Roomie laughed through the whole thing, then at me. Everyone I've ever asked about it fell very cleanly into these two groups: scary beyond all reason v. stupid beyond all reason....go figure.
